Duties:

• Manages all IS personnel;
• Responsible for managing, mentoring and coaching staff, performing annual reviews, taking disciplinary action (if needed);
• Sets employee schedules, project and assignment deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of the department;
• Acts as Project Manager for projects, work effort and resource requirements to complete project initiatives;
• Determines technical feasibility and cost of providing or modifying automated solutions to business problems/opportunities;
• Analyzes existing environment and systems and develops alternative/improved operational or economic performance;
• Designs, develops, modifies, writes and implements software applications;
• Supports and/or installs software applications and software components for online and mobile banking platforms;
• Responsible for special projects which fall both inside and outside of primary responsibility;
• Assigns work to the analysts and document control and archives technicians; acts as consultant on projects providing technical guidance;
• Develops ad hoc reports against the credit union’s data for the user community as needed;
• Manages vendors and software subcontractor relationships, handles changes, problems and/or issues with new or existing software until resolution;
• Collaborates with the IT staff individually or as a group on joint projects or tasks;
• Works with the Internal and/or External Audit groups to ensure timely and accurate information sharing and to refine controls as necessary;
• Ensures that appropriate and updated documentation and procedures are in place for each production system developed or enhanced;
• Leads conversion efforts to ensure integrity of data produced;
• Ensures that IS staff deliver superior customer service to all Credit Union employees;
• Complies with Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union (PSFCU) procedures and policies;
• Any other duties or responsibilities, as required or assigned.

Requirements:

4 year degree in Computer Science. Post graduate courses in specific IT related areas.

• 5 or more years of related experience.
• 3 or more years of management experience.
• Must have advanced PC experience: Must have superior knowledge of MS/Office products including MS Project;
• Technical background required;
• 5 or more years working with client-server technologies in an Application Systems Analysis or Programming capacity;
• 5 or more years working experience of software applications to include databases (SQL), third party report writers, scripting;
• High knowledge of banking or credit union policies and procedures required;
• Experience in developing systems requirements, designing reports and specifications required;
• Experience with Jack Henry or Symitar products.
