We have just been informed about an attempt to obtain a member’s personal information by a person impersonating a PSFCU employee. During a telephone conversation with a member of our Credit Union, the caller claimed to be a PSFCU employee and stated that the limit of member’s credit card, issued by our Credit Union, has been exceeded. He attempted to elicit personal information, allegedly to verify the information.
We strongly encourage our members to exercise caution when receiving unsolicited telephone calls from persons claiming to be PSFCU employees and asking for personal information stating dubious reasons. If for any reason you are uncertain of the identity of a person contacting you by telephone, please hang up and immediately contact the PSFCU Call Center at 1-800-297-2181.
